What is KUDU?

KUDU is the acronym of Kibale Uganda Development Union, Inc. It is a Christian-based, humanitarian organization dedicated to helping children, their families and the community of Kibale, Uganda to reach their fullest potential by helping them solve problems. It resolves problems concerning children without parents, health, child development, education, advocacy and poverty. Uganda is a land-locked country about the same size as the state of Oregon, in central, eastern Africa. Kibale is a district in western Uganda.

What is the Home of the Holy Angels?

The Home of the Holy Angels and the Saints William and Helen Catholic Secondary and Vocational School are the mission projects of KUDU. Incorporated in 2007 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and is based in Winter Park, FL. KUDU is governed by a board of directors, an advisory committee in Winter Park and a committee of the community leaders in Kibale, Uganda. It is KUDU’s objective to establish The Home of the Holy Angels as a nurturing and sustainable environment for the community and its youth, many of whom have been orphaned due to the national epidemic of AIDS/HIV. An estimated 1.6 million adults have died of AIDs, leaving 1,200,000 children orphaned by the epidemic. In the Kibale district alone, there may be as many as 20,000 impacted children.

What is Our Mission?

Our mission is to provide a home, healthcare, education and hope for the orphaned children of Kibale, Uganda. To help, you, your church, your school or civic organization, even your company, can Sponsor-A-Child for a year, or for the child’s complete seven-year primary school curriculum. For less than $2 per day, or $50 per month, you can help make a difference in the life of the child and in the future of the community.

To continue to help, you, your church, your school or civic organization, even your company, can Sponsor-A-Leader for a year, or for the child’s four year secondary school curriculum. Once completed, the child is prepared to take a national examination required for admittance to two years of high school. For less than $3 per day, or $75 per month, you can continue to help make a difference in the life of the child and in the future of the community.
